2 Carnival Squash
1/4 cup of bacon drippings (or duck fat or melted butter)
1/2 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
Salt and pepper


Preheat your oven to 400ºF.

Cut the squash in half laterally and scoop out the seeds.

Drizzle with bacon drippings, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Wrap in aluminum foil.

Put directly on baking sheet in the middle rack of the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Peel off the foil and bake for about 15 more minutes or until done.

Serves 4.
