Sauerkraut with Pork Shoulder

This is another dish that people evidently ate during the great depression. Grin and bear it!

3 pounds of sauerkraut
3 pounds of pork shoulder
6 cups of boiling tap water, you can't afford bottled water anymore!

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Cover the bottom of a baking dish with half of the kraut. Then add the meat. Then add the rest of the sauerkraut. Then pour in the boiling water. You should completely cover the meat with the water. Cover tightly with a lid or tin foil and bake for 2 hours at 350 degrees.

If you plan on eating this often, you might want to serve this with some fresh vegetables on the side so you don't die of rickets or get malnutrition or something.

Serves 8.
